Packing for Camp
Camp Equipment
Below is a list of items to bring to camp. It is important to mark all items with camper's first and last name - use indelible ink or name tapes. Your child will live with 5 - 7 other children and mixing of belongings is sure to happen. Just think about all the things your child leaves around home and imagine that "lost and found" multiplied by 100! We suggest that you and your child pack for the camp together so they know what they are bringing and where it is.

Recommendations:
- We do not recommend buying new clothes or equipment just for camp
- Mark all articles with your child's names - first and last
- We will instruct and help your child to care for personal belongings and clothing, however, DuBois Center is not responsible for lost or damaged articles or valuables.
- Campers driving to camp will be asked to park their vehicles in the main parking lots and leave their keys at the office.
*Footwear:
- All children should bring a pair of shoes that can get wet and muddy.
- We do not allow children to go barefoot at anytime except when swimming.
- The children will derive a greater benefit from some activities (i.e., creek walking) if they have shoes which can be worn in the creek.
- Those who go rope swimming must wear shoes.
- We recommend children wear shoes with a heel (at least 1/2 inch thick) while horseback riding. If they do not have these types of shoes, barn boots may be used. Horseback riding in sandals will not be permitted.
