Our Facilities

Conference

This section of camp is on the East side of Lake DuBois. It is home to Oak Lodge, Hickory Lodge, and the Cottages.

Oak Lodge

This is the main building around which the rest of the camp is built. Our kitchen and dining room are located here. We serve great family-style meals for groups of up to 150. Adjacent to the dining area is a large, vaulted meeting area complete with lounge furniture and fireplace. The lower level has an additional meeting room. VCR/DVDs and other audio/visual equipment are available to help with your meetings and presentations.

Oak Lodge also houses a recreational room (ping pong, foosball and billiards), arts and crafts space and our health center. A large porch overlooks Lake DuBois.

Hickory Lodge

A self-contained year-round retreat facility, Hickory Lodge sleeps groups of up to 30 people comfortably in 11 bedrooms. The bedrooms have several configurations of double and twin beds with centrally located bathrooms and showers.

A large meeting room with fireplace is provided as is a small kitchenette. Hickory also faces Lake DuBois and is just a short walk from Oak Lodge and Roadside Cottage. Hickory Lodge is perfect for groups who enjoy close fellowship with each other.

The Cottages

We have four cottages: Lakeside, Woodside and Coveside are situated near the lake and Roadside is in close proximity to Oak and Hickory Lodges. All cottages feature two bedrooms with 8 comfortable bunk-beds each, plus two roll-away beds and accompanying restrooms and showers. Each cottage can accommodate 16-20 people.

Three of the cottages feature stone fireplaces and lounge furniture in the middle rooms and have decks with peaceful views. Roadside is handicap accessible but does not have a fireplace.

Rustic Camping Area

On the west side of Lake DuBois, Fisherman's Ridge, Wild Wood, Tall Oaks and Sassafras Hill accommodates up to 60 campers in rustic cabins on 4 shady camping sites. Each cabin has five or six sets of bunk-beds.

This area also includes modern bathrooms with showers, recreation center, and dining shelter.

Deer Run

Sets on it's own lake where campers stay in small cabins with bunks. There is an indoor dining pavilion, showers, and bathrooms. Deer Run also includes camping areas for tents and RVs.

Deer Run Cabins

This is a rustic area much like the conference camp area, but it is nestled on its own lake. There are 3 cabins nestled together in this isolated area.

Horse Barn

The home to our equestrian program and our 20 beautiful riding horses. A beginners ring and miles of trails on our camp provide for hours of riding enjoyment. Rides can be arranged in advance for your retreats or conferences.

Our Summer Camp programs allow campers to learn to care for horses, ride the trails, and participate in barn chores.

Nature's Classroom programs also take advantage of the barn and horses. They allow school children to learn about horses and the joys of riding.

Waterfront

Swimming, boating, and fishing are all part of the waterfront experience. The swimming area, separated by a dock into a shallow and deep end, is cared for by certified lifeguards.

Hawk's Nest

Lake DuBois' boathouse is home to canoes, fishing boats, funyaks and sailboats. It also serves as a garage for our pontoon boats. The canoes and pontoon boats are available for your group if you reserve them ahead of time.

Team Building and Challenge Course

The Horizontal Spider Web, Birthday Lineup, The Wall, the Bonsun Chairs, and the Slack Wire. The Porthole, All Aboard, Nitro-Crossing, Wild Woosey, and the Postman's Walk.

The experience is both stressful and joyous. Ideally as they dare to try, they begin to experience physical success and recognize that the seemingly difficult is often quite possible. Their struggles are often the beginnings of maturity, which entails in part, having real experience with a wide range of natural human reactions - fear, joy, fatigue, compassion, laughter, pain and love and they learn to work as a team.

  • Increase the participants' sense of personal confidence
  • Increase mutual support within a group
  • Develop an increased level of agility and physical coordination
