Program

Nature's Classroom is a residential camp program with an accompanying day program. Anyone interested in learning from and about the outdoor environment can participate in the Nature's Classroom program. Activities cover a variety of subjects ranging from science to math to social studies at the grade school and junior high levels. The lessons are based on the Nature's Classroom curriculum entitled And This Our Life which was developed by Dr. John Santos.

A professional staff of instructors will teach lessons with activities that emphasize cooperation and teamwork. Lessons are designed to be meaningful and fun for the students. Each lesson will consist of presentation of background materials, hands-on activities and in most lessons, follow-up enrichment activities. Class are taught outdoors except during inclement weather.

Goals

  • Motivate students to improve classroom subject performance
