Fall Festival 2023 Crafter/Maker Application Step 1 of 2 50% 2023 Fall Festival This year's Fall Festival will take place on Sunday, October 1st, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Our Fall Festival is always the first Sunday in October and runs from 11 am to 5 pm. The festival is open to the public and free to enter – parking is free as well. Activities and food are available for an affordable price. At our event, you will find crafters, live music, kid's activities, plenty of delicious food, and more. It’s a family-friendly event, so all ages are welcome. Younger guests can enjoy our Kids Korner with lots of crafts and games, or any one of our numerous activities around the grounds. Ride a horse, take a cruise on the pontoon boat, or tour DuBois Center via hay wagon.Crafter & Maker Information This is an outdoor event. Spaces are located on grass or gravel and may be nestled between trees. It is your responsibility to come prepared for rain and/or wind. Products for Sale Our Fall Festival is an exhibition for those who make and sell crafts and other handmade items. We emphasize the handmade aspect of items offered for sale and ask the majority of items available for purchase (at least 75%) are handmade. Prohibited Items & Vendor Types No direct sales vendor--ie Scentsy, Pampered Chef, Thirty-One... No Baked goods--ie: pies, cakes, cookies, brownies.. Set Up Information Crafters/Makers will need to bring their own tables, chairs, tents, tarps, extension cords, etc. DuBois Center will provide the space plus electricity (if requested and available). Set-up Times: Crafters & Makers may enter the grounds to set up on Saturday from noon to 6 pm OR on Sunday from 7 to 10 am. Space Options: Booth OR Table Spaces will be assigned based on the needs of the Crafter/Maker (as noted on your application), the available spaces, and the type of craft/product sold. The location and size of each space are determined by the DuBois Center Fall Festival Committee and are not negotiable. Assignments and a grounds map will be emailed to vendors the Monday before the event. Demonstrating ONLY: We do not charge a fee for exhibitors who demonstrate crafting techniques and DO NOT sell products, If you plan on demonstrating only, please email fallfestival@duboiscenter.org. Booths Each booth space is roughly 12ft x 12ft and crafters/makers may request multiple adjoining spaces. Prices for 1, 2, or 3 spaces: 1 booth = $45 2 booths = $70 3 booths = $105 Table Only We offer a smaller space option for those who may not need a 12x12 booth. The Table Option features an 8-foot table with 2 chairs. This area is located behind the main office building near both the road entrance and tram drop-off entrance. Price for 1 Table = $20Questions? Any specific needs or accommodations?Fall Fest Policies & Agreement(Required)Set-up Information: Each Crafter/Maker shall provide their own tables, extension cords, covers, shelter equipment, liability insurance, etc. DuBois Center will provide the space plus electricity (if requested and available). Set-up Times: Saturday - Noon to 6 pm and Sunday - 7 to 10 am Unloading & Parking: A parking pass will be issued upon arrival – please display it in your vehicle during the Festival. Vehicle Limit: No more than one vehicle per Crafter/Maker will be permitted to enter the grounds at a time. Loading/Unloading: To help traffic flow during set-up times, the Crafter/Maker will unload and move their vehicle to the designated parking area as quickly as possible. Parking: No vehicle will be allowed to remain within the festival grounds after unloading. Vehicles must be out of the main festival grounds and parked in the designated parking lot by 10 am Sunday morning. Take down: No Crafter/Maker shall be permitted to re-enter the Festival grounds with any vehicle to load or unload until the Fall Festival Committee announces that the crowd has dispersed – no earlier than 5:10 pm. on Sunday. Misc: Sales Tax: Illinois State Sales Tax and all other taxes are and shall be the sole responsibility of the Vendor. Animals: No pets or other animals – except service animals—are permitted on the grounds during the Fall Festival. Policy Acknowledgment I have read and understand all of the provisions of the Fall Festival Policy and intend to be legally bound by the terms thereof in addition to the terms of this full and complete Release. My failure to comply with the terms of the Fall Festival Policies (as determined by the parties released hereby) will result in my immediate removal from the Festival grounds along with all of my goods, merchandise, equipment, and property. Further, I hereby release DuBois Center, the DuBois Center Fall Festival Committee, the Illinois South Conference and all other institutions and corporate expressions of the United Church of Christ, and all of their respective officers, directors, agents, and employees from any and all causes of action and liabilities for injuries and damages to myself, my agents, my exhibit, my merchandise and my property that may occur at any time during the Festival. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless each and all of the foregoing entities and individuals for any and all injuries and damages to persons or property which I, my agents, guests and/or invitees may cause to other persons or property located on the Festival premises from Friday, September 30 through Sunday, October 1, 20232.
