Bounty of Beauty

DuBois Center is much more than simply a summer camp or place to hold a retreat – it’s a slice of heaven right here in southern Illinois. The rolling hills, creek bottoms and Southern Flatwoods play host to a magnificent variety of life. Towering oak and hickory shelter owls, herons, foxes and a host of other creatures great and small. Ironweed, phlox and Cardinal flowers are only a few of the beautiful bursts of color that bloom between the trees.

This splendor isn’t free – in exchange for the breathtaking sights, sounds and smells, we must serve as stewards of the land. It is important to care for this creation so that we may continue to learn from and be amazed by God’s majesty for generations to come.
