SERVICE SATURDAY – November 2

Stretch your muscles! Breathe fresh fall air! Hang out with friends and lend a helping hand!
Youth and adult fellowship groups, individuals, families – everyone is invited. Projects vary, depending on the skills of those involved and the weather. Preparations for winter, stacking wood, raking leaves, cleaning and painting are on the list, as are a variety of skilled labor projects. The work may not be glamorous, but it really does make a BIG DIFFERENCE!
Click here for a flyer to post and share, and here for a typical Work Day schedule. Please let us know in advance if you plan to attend and if any of your group members have special skills. We want to be sure to have appropriate projects and a hot lunch ready for you! Contact DuBois Center at 618-787-2202 or email.

Join us for a Service Saturday on November 2!

Stretch your muscles! Breathe fresh fall air! Hang out with friends and lend a helping hand!
Youth and adult fellowship groups, individuals, families – everyone is invited to our second Fall 2019 Service Saturday on November 2.
Projects vary, depending on the skills of those involved and the weather. Stacking wood, painting, cleaning and raking leaves are on the list, as are a variety of skilled labor projects. The work may not be glamorous, but it really does make a BIG DIFFERENCE!

Confirmand Power!

It’s amazing what a group of Illinois South Conference confirmands and chaperones can accomplish in just 90 minutes!

The crew attending the ISC Confirmation Retreat took the service aspect of their weekend to heart. Happy horses are now munching on green hay because one team unloaded and stacked 640 bales. The wood shed was also emptied, reorganized and is now ready for winter. And posts and rails were painted for upcoming fencing projects.

Positive attitudes, willing hearts and many hands definitely make the load lighter for all. THANKS for all your hard work!

Thank You

THANK YOU!
It rained, but it didn’t pour! The skies were overcast, but the sun did peek out every once in a while. Through it all the tractors kept rolling, the musicians kept singing and smiling faces and umbrellas were everywhere. The rain may have dampened the turnout, but not the spirit. Thanks to the Volunteers, Staff, Vendors and Guests who made Fall Festival 2019 a success!

Fall Festival is TOMORROW!

Dubois Center’s 2019 Fall Festival is tomorrow, Sunday, October 6!

This is a great event to share with church members and the community! Yummy food, live music, crafters and artisans, hayrides, horses, boat tours, hands-on crafts for kids – there’s something for the whole family!

Don’t Miss Out on These Stunning Quilts!

Fall Festival and the much-anticipated Quilt Drawing are THIS SUNDAY (you don’t need to be present to win).

This year, two beautiful and unique queen-size quilts have been donated. One is a stunning block pattern in steel blue and tan. The second is an elegant log cabin design in colors from the Southwest. With these works of art, we hope to raise over $2,000.

You can help by spreading the word – share this opportunity with your friends and family! A flyer with photos and tickets are available. Completed tickets and payment must be received at DuBois Center by 4:15pm Sunday, Oct 6 to be included in the drawing.

Volunteers Still Needed for Fall Festival on October 6

Fall Festival, DuBois’ annual fundraiser, can’t happen without YOU!

There are lots of ways to help – serve food or serve as a cashier, catch pontoon boats or walk horses at the arena, drive a tractor or captain a boat, take tickets or sell them, assist with crafts or melt wax for candles, set up before the event or stay and clean up after!

DuBois Center’s annual Fall Festival is powered by the talent, sweat, love and cheer of scores of volunteers. YOU CAN HELP TOO! Time commitments of 2 hours or longer work best.

To volunteer, contact DuBois Center at dcinfo@DuBoisCenter.org or 618-787-2202. Send or leave a message with your name, areas of interest, phone number and best times for you to volunteer.

Thank you in advance!
