Don’t Miss Out on These Stunning Quilts!

Fall Festival and the much-anticipated Quilt Drawing are THIS SUNDAY (you don’t need to be present to win).

This year, two beautiful and unique queen-size quilts have been donated. One is a stunning block pattern in steel blue and tan. The second is an elegant log cabin design in colors from the Southwest. With these works of art, we hope to raise over $2,000.

You can help by spreading the word – share this opportunity with your friends and family! A flyer with photos and tickets are available. Completed tickets and payment must be received at DuBois Center by 4:15pm Sunday, Oct 6 to be included in the drawing.

It’s Quilt Time!

The clock is ticking…the annual DuBois Center Fall Festival is just one month away and so is the much-anticipated Quilt Drawing!
This year, two beautiful and unique quilts have been donated. Both are queen-size. One is a stunning block pattern in steel blue and tan – elaborate machine stitching makes the back side nearly as beautiful as the front. The second quilt could have come right out of an elegant log cabin in the Southwest.
With these works of art, we hope to raise a minimum of $2,000. You can help by spreading the word!
A flyer with pictures is available to assist. You are also invited to sell tickets and display one or more of the quilts at your church on a Sunday morning or during a special event. Contact Carol Shanks at shanks@htc.net or 618-920-2904 to reserve a quilt.
Thank you for your support of DuBois Center! Join us at Fall Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 6 to see who wins the quilts!

“I Spy” is on the Road Again

Quilts Needed for Fall Festival

Beautiful quilts are an integral part of DuBois Center’s annual Fall Festival. Each year, lovingly crafted treasures are donated for the quilt drawing. Our first quilt of the season has been donated and it’s beautiful! This charming star pattern quilt is twin-sized (66″ x 86″), hand-pieced and quilted. It was created and donated by Sarah Moore, a member at Bethel UCC in Cahokia. This is Sarah’s second Fall Festival quilt.

If you or your group would like to donate a quilt for this year’s drawing, contact Shirley at dcinfo@DuBoisCenter.org or 618-787-2202. Ideally, the second quilt would be queen-sized. Thanks for your support!

THANKS to the Happy Quilters and St. John UCC, Mascoutah

Remember the super cute “Max & Duke” quilt? The Happy Quilters of St. John UCC in Mascoutah raised $2,003 toting it from church to church and selling tickets this spring. St. John UCC matched the amount raised dollar for dollar, bringing the total donation to $4,006. AMAZING! Thanks so much to Kay, Nancy, Marion, Treva, Muriel and Beth for all their hard work and to St. John UCC for their support.

Thanks also to the following churches for hosting the traveling quilt on a Sunday morning: Christ UCC, Dupo; St John UCC, Fairview Heights; St John UCC, Trenton; St. Paul UCC, Lebanon; St Peter’s UCC, Okawville; and Zion UCC, New Baden. The traveling team… “enjoyed meeting new people and worshiping with them; they were so welcoming and supportive. It is a great experience.”

Ticket sales wrapped up at the church’s annual Quilt Show in April, which was again quite the event with over 200 quilts on display and activities for novice and skilled quilters alike. The lucky winner was Michael Engelman of Mascoutah. The big winner was DuBois Center.
