4th annual Rainbow Camp – Registration Open

Rainbow Camp is a day filed with activities and fun, where everyone is recognized as a child of God.  Come play in the water, take aim with archery, try your hand at crafts, or just take in the outdoors from horseback or pontoon. We have activities for all ages. We will gather on Sat, Aug 18 from 9 am to 7 pm, at DuBois Center. Rainbow Camp is for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender & queer singles, couples and families. Straight allies are welcome too.

If there are at least 15 people interested, we can stay Friday night as a group at Hickory Lodge. If you want to register for just the day, select Rainbow Camp.  If you want to stay Friday night and attend camp the next day, select Rainbow Camp Overnight. Register now to get the early bird rates. See this flyer for more details. Click here if you’re ready to register. Got questions?  Contact ISC Pride at iscpride@iscucc.org.

Save the Date – Fall Festival 2018

The ISC Outdoor Ministries Team (OMT) announces the 42nd annual Fall Festival at DuBois Center on Sunday, October 7th from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Many of the traditional favorites for this autumn fundraiser will continue to be featured, if enough supervisors and volunteers come forward. We hope many will be able to participate as a volunteer, as a donor of food, items, or money, as a crafter, a musician, and/or a buyer.

Your church will receive more information this summer about the Fall Festival and updates will be printed periodically in the Weekly Connection. For more information, please contact Norma Borgmann (OMT Chairperson) at 618-533-1658 (H) or 618-292-4617 (C) or nborgmann1658@charter.net.

Fathers & Sons – Quality Time Together!

This past weekend, 41 fathers, sons, grandfathers and mentors – hailing from 10 ISCUCC churches and beyond – made the trek to DuBois Center for our annual Father-Son Retreat. Picture… boats on the lake, cool crafts, a hay ride, and rounds and rounds of 9-Square and Ga-ga. Picture… new friends, hikes and horseback rides. Picture… s’mores under a drizzly sky, late night UNO games, and quiet time for reflections. Together fathers and sons explored the creek, built shelters in the woods, “tipped trees,” took aim at archery targets, and dismantled a big section of the old boat dock. Now, picture

God among us everywhere! Throughout the weekend, they explored God’s call to be good roles as fathers and as sons, to be true friends and caring “neighbors.”
