Horse campers mount up and ride daily weather permitting*). Additional saddle time helps campers bond with the horses, develop skills and build self-confidence. Depending on age and skill level, some groups may play games on horseback, canter or ride bareback.

Some mornings, it’s “up and at ’em” well before breakfast – feeding, grooming and tacking the herd for the day ahead. Some evenings, it’s barn chores before joining in all-camp games. Horse campers may even gain some “horse sense” about breeds, anatomy, herd behavior and the responsibilities of horse care and ownership. These camps often fill quickly.
