Calling all Artisans & Handicrafters

Are you gifted with gourds, clever with color or cloth, handy with hardware, talented with tools or skilled in stitchery? If yes, DuBois Center is now accepting applications for vendors at our annual Fall Festival on Sunday, October 6. Each year, over 2,000 people turn out for this family-friendly event. To learn more about displaying your wares, click here. To register, click here.

At this event, the focus is on hand-crafted pieces, and items that are truly vintage or re-purposed. A limited number of vendor spaces are available, so don’t delay. For more information, contact Susan Fuchs at SusanKFuchs@gmail.com or 618-978-3182.

Are You a Yard Sale Enthusiast?

Plans are coming together for DuBois Center’s annual Fall Festival. One area still in need of an implementation team is the Upscale Resale Shop & Silent Auction. Volunteers to pick-up, store and deliver items to camp are already in place. Now a team is needed for Saturday and Sunday, October 5 and 6 to set up and run the shop.
Tasks include unpacking, setting up, pricing, recruiting cashiers and managing the shop and silent auction the day of Fall Festival. No need to start from scratch, helpful hints will be provided. If your church or fellowship group might be interested, please contact Nancy Wagner, chair of the Outdoor Ministries Team, at 618-444-2835 or nancywagner1958@gmail.com, or DuBois Center at dcinfo@DuBoisCenter.org or 618-787-2202.

Fall Festival Friend-Raising

Mark your calendar! Start spreading the word! Fall Festival is more than just a fundraising event – it is a FRIEND-RAISING event.

Throughout the summer, new campers tell us that they first experienced DuBois Center during the Fall Festival. With that in mind, our marketing team gets more creative each year and finds fun new ways to spread the word at this event. They share our story – the summer camps, family retreats, Nature’s Classroom experiences and all the opportunities for church and community gatherings. But they need your assistance!

There are flyers to help you get started; print this one in color or this one in black & white. Who can you introduce to DuBois Center this October?

Save the Date – Fall Festival 2019

It’s never too early, to start planning for DuBois Center’s annual Fall Festival! Save the date for Sunday, October 6, 2019 and consider how you and your church might be involved.

Sharing this logo is a great way to start. Save it now and use it on your website, in PowerPoints, newsletters and bulletins.

If you or your church is interested in volunteering at the event, please contact the office at dcinfo@DuBoisCenter.org or 618-787-2202.

Calling all Quilters!

For over a decade, a quilt drawing has been a significant piece of the annual DuBois Center Fall Festival. In recent years, we have been blessed to have two or more art quality quilts donated to the drawing each year, which together have raised between $1,500 and $2,500 annually.

The quilts are typically donated by local church quilting groups and other friends of DuBois Center – would you or your quilting group be interested in donating a quilt for the 2019 Fall Festival? Queen size quilts seem to be the most popular, and those with designs appealing to a wide audience and made with love and prayers are perfect.

Ideally, the quilts begin traveling to local churches in August, so a July completion date works well. Please contact the DuBois Center office at dcinfo@DuBoisCenter.org or 618-787-2202 for more information. We’d love to talk to you about the possibilities.

Fall Festival Thank You

Donate Your Sweet Treats

Cookies! Cakes! Pies! Breads! Snack Mixes! The Sweet Shoppe at Fall Festival is still in need of donations. Each dollar raised in this area goes directly to providing scholarships and enable children and youth from families that are struggling financially to attend camp. This team is doing a great job, but they need YOUR help! So apron up and bake on!

For more information, check out and share this flyer or text/call Melissa at 314-440-6646 or Kristen at 618-567-6863.

Volunteers Still Needed for Fall Festival

Calling all church groups, individuals, families, scout troops and youth needing service hours – lend a hand for a couple hours or for the full day! Fall Festival is DuBois Center’s biggest one-day event of the year and would not be possible without the efforts of scores of volunteers.

There are so many ways to help – prep and serve food, paint faces, supervise crafts and activities in the Kidz Korner, catch pontoon boats, walk horses in the arena, take tickets, assist guests in the Upscale Resale Shop or serve as a cashier.

Sound like fun? Contact DuBois Center at 618-787-2202 or dcinfo@DuBoisCenter.org.

QUILTS – Don’t miss out!!

The countdown continues… only one week until the annual DuBois Center Fall Festival and the much anticipated Quilt Drawing. This year, three beautiful and unique quilts have been donated. One is a salute to our 50 states (twin); one has an elegant diamond-star pattern (queen); and one has fun blocks in shades of brown and gold (queen). With these gems, we hope to raise a minimum of $2000.

You can help by spreading the word! A flier with photos and tickets are available to assist. There is still time to buy or sell tickets. Tickets and payments must be returned to DuBois Center by noon the day of Fall Festival – Sunday, Oct 7.
