This weekend is just like our summer horse camp, but with more time with and on the horses! We also have activities like horse apple bobbing, campfire cookouts with your horse, making horse treats, a barn party, and more. Wrangle and Ride March 23 Registration Deadline

There are still a couple openings for the first Wrangle & Ride of the season on March 23, 2019. Join other horse enthusiasts (12 years to adult) for some quality time with our herd of 20 horses. Clover, Thunder and Zephyr are calling your name!
This event is limited to the first 12 who register – which means more time in the saddle for everyone! Just be sure to register by the deadline on Saturday, March 9.

Wrangle & Ride — Saturday, Nov 3

Love horses? If you are age 12 or older, join us on Saturday, Nov 3 from 9am – 5pm for a day of fun with the DuBois Center herd! Designed for both beginner and experienced riders, this is a horse-intensive day of instruction – tackle grooming, tacking, riding, and other horse-related activities. Beginners will be introduced to basic skills, while experienced riders work on more advanced options. The cost for this event is $60 with lunch included. Families are welcome.

Spring Brochure

Spring is a great time of year at DuBois Center! Signs of new life are everywhere. The air is fresh and clear, and there is so much to do. Our reservation book is filling with youth groups, school camps, retreats for women and confirmation students, church work days and scout groups. DBC Retreats

In addition to our do-it-yourself retreat options, DuBois Center also offers a number of focused retreats throughout the year. These weekend and day-long events are built around different areas of  interest and are perfect for getting away and enjoying the outdoors. Overviews of these retreats are included below. Mother-Daughter Retreat – October7-9, 2022

This retreat brings the generations together to celebrate and build relationships. Reserve your spots now for our weekend of relaxing and connecting with the moms, daughters, aunts, nieces, or grandmas in your life! With crafts, relaxation, and optional horseback riding, this is just the weekend you need to spend some time with the ones you love! This is one of our most popular yearly events, so sign up now! Women’s Retreat – October 28-30, 2022

We had so much fun with this in the spring, it’s back in the fall! Unlike Mother Daughter, you can come to this all by yourself or with some other adult friends! Spend the weekend doing anything but ‘adulting!’ This retreat is all about relaxing, getting away from everyday life, and meeting new friends. o cooking, no stress, just fun and relaxation! We’ll have activities like horse apple bobbing, campfire cookouts with your horse, confecting horse treats, a barn party, and many more horse games. Campers will reside in our cottages on Main Camp. Father-Son Retreat – Spring

This popular favorite is the best excuse to get the guys in your house, well, out of the house! Use DuBois Center as your playground to enjoy time with your dad, son, nephew, uncle, grandson, grandpa, or even someone who you think of as one! Geared for ages 5 to 100, you can bond through fun activities like horseback riding, archery, campfire cookouts, nature hikes, games, hayrides, or fishing. Overnight lodging will be in our Main Camp cottages and Hickory Lodge! Join us on April 1st – 3rd.

Nature Photography Retreat – Spring – NEW!

Returning in 2022! Nature photography is both relaxing and beautiful, so DuBois Center is the logical choice for a weekend devoted to just that! If you are an experienced photographer, you can use our scenery as your inspiration. If you are new to the hobby, we’ll have a flora and fauna expert and a professional nature photographer on hand to identify what you’re seeing–all to help you take the best photos! What’s great about nature is that no matter what the weather is like, there’s always a great photo to be taken! Stay for an overnight in our Main Camp cottages from May 13th to May 14th for $130.

Stargazing Party – Spring – NEW!

We all have our favorite spots at camp to look up at the night sky. But, did you know that even experts agree with us by saying DuBois Center has some of the best conditions to watch the stars?! It’s true, and you can see for yourself with our guided star-theme party! Visit us for a few hours on March 4th and you will learn about the night sky while enjoying a bonfire, hot drinks, and snacks! Not to mention, you learn how to find that perfect spot to watch the stars! Hint: be sure to keep all the lights off!

Rainbow Camp – August

Rainbow Camp is a retreat full of fun, with water games, canoeing, fishing, horseback riding, archery, crafts, pontoon rides, and more. We finish with a yummy dinner and a closing circle as the sun sets over the lake. This event is for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer singles, couples and families. Straight allies are welcome too.
