DuBois Center is searching for three (or more) STURDY, gently-used shower seats for use in Hickory Lodge, the Health Center and Rustic Shower House.
If you have one hidden in a corner of the basement or behind all those boxes in the garage, we’d love to help you recycle it.
Specs: light-weight and sturdy, plastic seat with holes for drainage, rust-resistant aluminum frame, non-slip foot caps.

It’s amazing what a group of Illinois South Conference confirmands and chaperones can accomplish in just 90 minutes!
The crew attending the ISC Confirmation Retreat took the service aspect of their weekend to heart. Happy horses are now munching on green hay because one team unloaded and stacked 640 bales. The wood shed was also emptied, reorganized and is now ready for winter. And posts and rails were painted for upcoming fencing projects.
Positive attitudes, willing hearts and many hands definitely make the load lighter for all. THANKS for all your hard work!
Fall Festival and the much-anticipated Quilt Drawing are THIS SUNDAY (you don’t need to be present to win).
This year, two beautiful and unique queen-size quilts have been donated. 
One is a stunning block pattern in steel blue and tan. The second is an elegant log cabin design in colors from the Southwest. With these works of art, we hope to raise over $2,000.
You can help by spreading the word – share this opportunity with your friends and family! A flyer with photos and tickets are available. Completed tickets and payment must be received at DuBois Center by 4:15pm Sunday, Oct 6 to be included in the drawing.

Donations must have a sale value of at least $5 each and be clean; new, nearly new OR classic; easy to carry and appealing. All proceeds support the ministry of DuBois Center.

Cookies! Cakes! Pies! Breads! Snack Mixes! The Sweet Shoppe at Fall Festival is still in need of donations. Each dollar raised in this area goes directly to scholarships – helping children and youth from families struggling financially to attend camp. Time is running out, but you can still register for the annual DuBois Center Mother-Daughter Retreat, October 18-20, 2019. This event is open to all the great women and girls in your life. Escape for a weekend of fun, laughter, movement, joy-filled worship and favorite traditional camp activities.

The next Stewardship Day will be Sat, Oct 12, from 8 am-Noon, with a focus on removing invasive species and working on the camp recycling hub. No special skills needed, just bring your own gloves.
The Green DuBois Team welcomes anyone who is interested in the outdoors. We have many upcoming projects focused on promoting the biodiversity of DuBois Center, maintaining our forest, and building on our ecologically sustainable practices. We welcome donations to support this work, which can be sent to the Conference office marked for Green DuBois. Anyone can be part of the team, regardless of church affiliation.

Love horses? If you are age 12 or older, join us on Saturday, Oct 12 from 9 am – 5 pm for a day of fun with the DuBois Center herd!
Designed for both beginner and intermediate riders, this is a horse-intensive day of instruction – grooming, tacking, riding and other horse-related activities. Beginners are introduced to basic skills, while riders with more experience work on refining theirs.
The cost for this event is $65 with lunch included. Adults and families are welcome. Register by the Early Bird Deadline – Saturday, Sept. 21 – and save $5 per person! Final registration deadline is Sept 28. Space is limited. Register online or click here to download a paper registration form.
