Thanks for the Memories!

Thanks for the memories and all the digital cameras you donated!
Over the past couple of years, we have been collecting small, point and shoot cameras – the ones pushed to the back of the closet when cell phones were upgraded. These gifts are now being used year-round by summer campers and their counselors, retreat participants and others. They take pictures of their adventures or get creative during photo scavenger hunts. Here are some fun shots from the last year.
Donations of digital cameras – in good condition – are still being accepted. For more information, contact DuBois Center at dcinfo@DuBoisCenter.org or 618-787-2202.

Specs: light-weight and sturdy, plastic seat with holes for drainage, rust-resistant aluminum frame, non-slip foot caps.

For more information contact us at dcinfo@DuBoisCenter.org or 618-787-2202. Thank you!

Join Us at Bunco Night!

All are invited to join Region 2 for an evening of fun and fellowship on Saturday, November 16, 2019. Gather the family, some friends, your youth group. This entertaining, somewhat frenzied dice game is so easy to learn, anyone can play!

The doors at St. Paul UCC in WATERLOO will open at 6:30 pm, and the game will begin at 7 pm. This event game has moved to a new venue, so make sure you show up at the correct St. Paul UCC! The cost to play is just $10 per person–there’s more. There will also be a 50/50 drawing and a purse auction.

Funds raised go to support ministry at DuBois Center. Save the date and spread the word! Click here for a flyer to share.

Thank You

THANK YOU!
It rained, but it didn’t pour! The skies were overcast, but the sun did peek out every once in a while. Through it all the tractors kept rolling, the musicians kept singing and smiling faces and umbrellas were everywhere. The rain may have dampened the turnout, but not the spirit. Thanks to the Volunteers, Staff, Vendors and Guests who made Fall Festival 2019 a success!
Watch upcoming editions of Weekly Connection to hear some of the fun stories from this event.

The next Stewardship Day will be Sat, Oct 12, from 8 am-Noon, with a focus on removing invasive species and working on the camp recycling hub. No special skills needed, just bring your own gloves.

The Green DuBois Team welcomes anyone who is interested in the outdoors.  We have many upcoming projects focused on promoting the biodiversity of DuBois Center, maintaining our forest, and building on our ecologically sustainable practices. We welcome donations to support this work, which can be sent to the Conference office marked for Green DuBois. Anyone can be part of the team, regardless of church affiliation.
